Dumb Question

If an animal walks on four legs, shouldn't the bones in its back be called horizontabrae?

Wrong etymology. The word has as its root the verb vertere, to turn.

Thanks, but I said it was a dumb question. It just struck me as humerus when it popped into my head. I guess I'll have to bone up on my Latin.

I think there's some sort of law against that many grisly puns in one paragraph. If not, there should be.

Well I for one thought the question was hilarious!

But I still wanna know why we drive on the parkway and park in the driveway?

And which agency would you have enforce such a law, FEMUR?
