Send our kids to college not to Iraq

Setting aside the fact that calling anyone older than about fifteen a "kid" is an insult, do the producer and displayer of this believe that people of college/combat age are being sent to one of the other location without any of their own volition involved? There is no military draft in this country, in part because it proved not to produce effective soldiers.
