A couple of summers ago, work took me out to the Falls, where I stopped for lunch at a chain burger joint. As I was walking in, three burber kids, working the summer as landscapers, were coming out. One of the boys picked up a nearly complete cigarette from the butt bucket and made as if to light it. The girll told him that was the most disgusting thing she'd seen in her life. I looked square at her and said, disdainfully, "You've obviously led a sheltered life."

I wonder how salvaging a cigarette would rank in comparison with going and having a look at Tim Blair’s site. It should be noted that Alex never specified which of the top five it was, which says more about his list-making proclivity than how disturbed he was.
