This is the final straw. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal (Jourinal for short) has never impressed me, and often upset me. This time they have gone too far. I am not surprised that they would oppose licensed concealed carry; we lowly citizens should not be trusted with our own defense, but should be solely dependent on the government. Whatever. Just don't suggest to your advertisers that I would ever look at your rag again.
What they did, which is inexcuseable, is to hand us a farrago of inaccuracies and distortions, in the guise of the truth. Owen has taken their "question and answer" session apart, and shown what is wrong with every one of their assertions. The only thing left for me to point out is that of the murder charges brought against Texas permit holders, to my knowledge none involved the use of a concealed weapon. I don't recall which one ended in conviction, but one involved a rifle and the other happened in the alleged murderer's home.
